The new version A.06.03.e of the ISA Dialog Manager is now available. It includes numerous improvements and bug fixes that further enhance efficiency, stability, and usability.
The new features are based on direct feedback from our users and address typical challenges encountered in daily use.
The focus of this release is on supporting the latest Linux platform, RHEL 10.
Highlights of the new version
New Platform: Support for Red Hat Enterprise Linux 10
With version A.06.03.e, the ISA Dialog Manager now supports Red Hat Enterprise Linux 10. This allows ISA customers to migrate their applications to current Linux platforms with modern system libraries. For this purpose, the ISA Dialog Manager has been ported to the 64-bit platform.
Since Red Hat discontinued support for Motif with version 10 and established Wayland as the sole display server for the GNOME/KDE desktop environment, this release lays the foundation for future-proof operation.
Support von Qt 6 und Wayland
More and more Linux distributions are using Wayland as their default display server. Providing the ISA Dialog Manager for Qt 6, along with the necessary Wayland adjustments, supports and facilitates the transition to modern Linux desktop environments.
New USW widgets for the IDM for Qt
With the USW option, Qt offers three new widgets that enable convenient integration of animations and web content into your applications.
- The dmw_moviebutton supports the integration of animated GIF images as well as simple SVG animations.
- The object dmw_webview enables the seamless display of web pages within the application and their control via JavaScript.
- The object dmw_dial provides a modern and intuitive control element with which numerical values can be conveniently set using a rotary dial.
Detection of critical WSI resource consumption under Windows
As an application's complexity increases, so does the number of user interface objects. In extreme cases, this can lead to a shortage of available Windows handles, resulting in new interface elements not being displayed or being displayed only incompletely.
The ISA Dialog Manager can now monitor the relative consumption of WSI resources and detect critical conditions early. This allows potential display problems to be identified before they affect the application.
IDM Tracefile Analyzer
The IDM Tracefile Analyzer has been enhanced with practical features, making analysis and troubleshooting even more efficient.
- Simultaneous opening of multiple tracefiles with synchronized line display for direct comparison of multiple trace views.
- Two predefined search filters facilitate finding relevant entries and accelerate analysis.
