Scalable fonts and HiDPI image variants can be used to design graphically contemporary and user-friendly applications for different screen scales. Scaling-independent IDM pixels, standardized names for layout resources, new options for font grid definition and new image scaling options make it easier to implement a HiDPI-capable application.
