The focus of the current version A.06.03.a of the ISA Dialog Manager is entirely focused on supporting HiDPI and
the new Windows 11 platform.
HiDPI support
In order to make the ISA Dialog Manager HiDPI-capable, we have introduced a lot of innovations and made changes:
- IDM applications for Windows, Motif and Qt take the desktop scaling factor into account.
- Scalable fonts and their grid conversion are the key to HiDPI capability.
- Introduction of uniform HiDPI image variants for Windows, Motif and Qt to provide high-resolution image symbols.
- IDM pixel values are now scale independent and enable compatible implementation between traditional and HiDPI applications.
- Scalable XFT fonts are supported under Motif. Scaling images is now also possible.

New platform Windows 11 (32-/64-bit)
The new Windows 11 platform is now technically based on the current Microsoft Visual Studio 2022 and has thus gained full HiDPI capability.
Further innovations
We have also made improvements and innovations in the following areas:
- On Windows working with multiple monitors is supported. By repositioning, the window and screen are assigned “on the fly”.
- With the Edittext and Poptext object under Windows and Qt, you can use the new attribute .hinttext to display a placeholder and hint text.
- When using the ssh:// scheme, the ssh command can be used to start the server easily and securely.
- For encrypted data communication, the DDM now also supports OpenSLL Version 3.0.
- The font resources have been expanded to include alternatives black/demibold/light/roman .
- The scrollbar object now allows the visibility control of the tick marks.
- For Layout Resources for all window systems unified names have been introduced.

The following compatible plugins with version 2.2.1.A are available for the current IDM:
- IDM Eclipse Plugin – for convenient dialog development in Eclipse.
- IDM Builder Plugin – for an optimized build process with semantic error analysis.
- IDM Debugger Plugin – for debugging dialogs directly in Eclipse.
